We just wanted to thank you for the great care you provided during the last 6 months to our mother, Jean. You know better than us how difficult it is for families dealing with Alzheimer’s. Our father’s death in February made our situation more difficult. You were able to provide caregivers that quickly bonded with our mother and improved her quality of life. Your people touched her (and us) personally and soon began to “care” very much for her.

We appreciated it when people went the “extra mile.” Your folks would take her for ice cream and walks whenever possible – we know even in her later stages, one of your caregivers brought her to the Guardian Open House this fall. And your people were always there when she needed medical care – whether it was trips to the doctor or visits to the hospital, your caregivers were always there for her.

We also appreciate your efforts to keep in contact with our siblings as the need arose. We doubt it’s your “legal” responsibility to keep in contact with 4 siblings, but you made every effort to do so when any one of us wasn’t available.

Two other points that were important – first, you had a good working relationship with Somerford Place to provide a real partnership together to always help is. Second, we never had any issues with you when (on rare occasions) your people might have been sick. You always met your commitments and didn’t let us down.

Finally, during the 2 days when our mother was in a coma, you provided information to us in a compassionate manner. Your caregivers were obviously concerned for our mother, and worked will both with Somerford and Hospice. Finally, when my sister and I took a break for a meal, you were there when she died. You stayed for as long as needed as we worked through the first hours after her death when arrangements were made and her body sent to the funeral home.

We will always be in your debt. If we can ever assist you, or if this letter could be used as a reference feel free to have folks contact us or give them a copy of this letter.

Thank you so much – God Bless you all.

"...You handled all matters efficiently and timely. We will certainly recommend your agency to anyone who needs help."
